About Reenactor Chronicles

Reenactor Chronicles is a blog and online newsletter dedicated to historical reenactment in the Great Lakes region between 1700 to 1840. We welcome photos and reports from reenactors who take part in events and consider photos for publication on the website and in the newsletter. Editor and publisher Vicki Johnson is expanding from the Rendezvous Ohio website, which has been listing living history events for 16 years. She recently retired from full-time newspaper work after 40 years, and now uses her skills to tell the stories of historical craftspeople, artisans, shooters and other competitors, musicians and a variety of reenactors.

Each issue of the newsletter contains information about living history events, updates and resources for reenactors and for people interested in living history.

 

The blog focuses on a variety of content, including feature stories, event photos, recipes for around the campfire and similar information of interest to reenactors.
